St Mark's Hospital in Harrow is one of the world's only specialist hospitals for colorectal diseases. Every year, patients with very little hope for a successful outcome are referred to St. Mark's where they receive the benefit of years of pioneering research and the most effective treatment currently available. No other hospital can claim to have done so much to spearhead the fight against diseases of the bowel such as Colitis, Crohn's and Bowel Cancer.

St. Mark's Hospital Foundation was set up to raise funds to pay for the research and education the NHS can't. With the right research we believe that all categories of bowel illnesses could be eliminated in the future.

Since the Mosaic Appeal launch in April 2007, you have helped to raise an incredible £124,947, so a big thanks to all our previous donors. There are still 3,273 tiles available so in a bid to complete the Mosaic, we are now offering tiles at a promotional rate. You can now buy any piece of the lion for £50 or a blue background tile for £25. It's a great way to celebrate birthdays, christenings or wedding anniversaries, or in memory of someone special.
